So...err...yeah.

I'm back at McK.  Working there.

My computer has been built, for any computer geeks that read this, the basic stats are:

ASUS M2R32-MVP Motherboard with the 580x Crossfire chipset
AMD Athlon 64 X2 at 3.0Ghz
4 GB of A-Data DDR2-800 RAM (PC 6400)
eVGA video card with nVidia 7600GS chipset through a PCIe x16 slot
(2) 250 GB Western Digital Caviar SATA 3.0 hard drives
(2) ASUS DVD-RAM drives with LightScribe, also SATA 3.0
550W Rosewill PSU
Logitech MX518 8-button gaming-grade mouse (adjustable resolution, on the fly)
Logitech X230 Speakers, 2.1

I had a GIANT Rosewill heatsink set up, but I also picked up a mid-tower case that was happily housing a...ready for this...250mm fan in the side.  The kinda got in each other's way.  So I'm on the stock heatsink, but its also the only stock heatsink I've ever seen equipped with heatpipes and a giant fan.  Go AMD.

But my favorite part?  The 22" widescreen High-Definition LCD screen.  Its HUGE!  1680x1050 Resolution is your FRIEND.

Anyways, I'm moved back in.  Doing work that I actually enjoy.  I still have to take care of rearranging my class schedule, but that'll be done shortly.

Oh yeah, and, thanks to Megan and her parents, I have a bar in my apartment.  And now I have a cocktail shaker.

For some unknown reason someone shipped an M4 assault rifle, 6 clips for said rifle, and an M9 pistol with two clips to my workplace.  They discovered the rifle while running the packages through the X-Ray machine.  I took pictures with my phone.

In any event, the Security Forces had to show up to get the thing taken care of.  It was a big hooplah.

They didn't take kindly to my persistent requests to play with it and/or shoot something.

They gave me one hell of a dirty look when I changed "something" to "someone" in one of my requests.

I stand by both statements.

But I expect to get searched soon enough.  Maybe even get myself blocked from getting a job with the US military.

It'd totally be worth it if they let me play with the M4

P.S. - For some reason I can't access MSNBC.com at work.  Its not blocked, but its just not letting me get to the page.  Oddly enough, FoxNews loads right up.  SURPRISE!

I should, apparently, stop talking about gout.  The damned ads at the top of my xanga now talk about gout.  Sheesh, that's ridiculous.

Head hurts.  Bad.  NEED WATER!!!  And maybe some aspirin.

The key is to commit crimes so confusing that police feel too stupid to even write a crime report about them.

So I had this thing a while ago called "gout."  Long story short, apparently if your kidneys are overtaxed from medications and/or a predisposition to weak kidneys, and you consume too much booze and/or greasy food, you get uric acid buildup in your joint cartilage.  Translation, my foot hurt like a son of a bitch.

I got pills, and was told to lay off the booze.

Fast forward to last night, half-off liquor as Houlihan's.

Fast-forward again to this morning.  "Hello, gout, long time no see."

Yay for gimp.
